Our devices are effective in the air and on the surfaces throughout the space as their technology does not require air to pass through the unit. On the contrary, our devices release permanently on a 24 hour basis elements (hydroxyl radicals) which “seek out” and destroy all pathogenic microorganisms, wherever they meet them.

Most of our tests are performed both in the air and on surfaces in order to show the active nature of the solution we offer.

What is the advanced technology of Hydroxyl Radicals for disinfection/purification and how does it work?

A new, innovative and internationally patented technology that effectively produces and releases hydroxyl radicals in order to activate advanced oxidation processes (AOP) in order to destroy both 99.9% of pathogenic microorganisms (viruses and bacteria) as well as volatile organic compounds at the same time.

Hydroxyl radicals are very effective in disinfecting both air and surfaces, according to a study published in the International Journal of Engineering Research and Science (IJOER).

THE TECHNOLOGY

The advantages

Hydroxyl radicals have excellent advantages over the three major chemical disinfectants prepared using chlorine, alkali and ammonia-alcohol-alkali:

  • Lack of selectivity when it comes to pathogenic microorganisms, due to the high oxidation potential of 2.8V (slightly less than fluorine 3.08V).
  • OH processing time is too short. The rate of chemical reaction OH is 107 times higher than other oxidants, such as ozone, peroxide or chlorine.
  • They are considered “eco-oxidants”, as hydroxyl radicals decompose naturally in water (H2O) and oxygen (O2), leaving behind oxidant residues as soon as their biochemical reactions are over.

What our devices achieve

  • They break down the protective cell membranes of viruses and bacteria (lipid reaction)
  • They substantially change the genetic information in viruses and bacteria (lipid peroxidation reaction).
  • They oxidize volatile organic compounds (VOCs), turning them into heavier particles that automatically fall to the ground.
  • They decompose particles suspended in the air.

Once the oxidation process begins, the phenomenon of “respiratory explosion” occurs, which consists of a series of cataract reactions that produce more hydroxyl radicals and thus accelerates the process of eliminating any viruses and bacteria. In this way, the cleaner produces a chain effect for effective cleaning and disinfection of air and surfaces.
